Sempre arribo una mica tard ultimament però tampoc és excusa per deixar passar temes tristos com la mort de Doug Dillard el 16 de maig. Doug formava part dels The Dillards, juntament amb altres membres de la familia, i van fer molt per apropar la musica tradicional de "bluegrass" al public dels 60 de la musica pop/rock. Jo li vaig descobrir en aquest LP que va gravar juntament amb Gene Clark, un altre dels meus heroes, un dels components claus dels The Byrds. Tinc més coses dels Byrds i dels Dillards, però aquest LP té una cosa especial, i ha aconseguit entrar en el meu All Time Top Ten. Bé, aquesta va per tu Doug, gràcies per tot.

Better late than never, so here's a small homage for Doug Dillard who passed away on May the 16th. Doug was a member of The Dillards, who did a lot to bring bluegrass back to popularity in the 60s, and he made this amazing album with Gene Clark, another of my faves. I've got plenty of stuff by the Dillards, and by Gene's band, The Byrds, but this LP beats them all and has earned a well-deserved spot in my All Time Top Ten. Doug, wherever you may be, thanks for the music!
