De petit,
d’adolescent, i a l’uni devorava els llibres. Després va venir un baixon on només
aconseguia/tenia ganes de llegir un o dos per any. Per motius de la vida, al
2022 vaig notar que estava tornant a llegir força i vaig tornar a fer apunts en
una llibreta per no oblidar-me de tot el que llegia! També la gent em
preguntava en quina llengua preferia llegir, així que també ho apunto. I fa un
parell d’anys també vam estar comentant el biaix clàssic (en general) en les estadístiques de qui
(home/dona) llegeix a qui (home/dona), o en els típics llistes de “10 llibres
que has de llegir abans de morir” etc. Així que també tenia curiositat de
saber-ho. Hi ha diversos motius pels petits incongruències en els números:
algun llibre l’he llegit en VO i traduït; algun està escrit a 4 mans; algun on no
se sap el gènere de que l’ha escrit o crec que l'autor no té gènere concret; i, errors meus! (ENGLISH below)
As a kid,
teenager, and student I devoured books. Then went through a long spell of
barely managing a couple a year and/or not really wanting to read more. Till
for a pack of reasons, I started to get back into reading in 2022. And as such,
picked up the old habit of taking notes in a notebook to remember what I’d
read! Also I fancied knowing which language I read more in. At the same time,
we’d spoken about whether men/women read (more) books by men/women, and why the
“Top Ten to read before you die” lists have tended to have a strong male bias,
so I thought I’d see who I read more of. The small errors in the numbers are
due to; reading some books in original language and translated; books written
by two or more people; no specific gender of authors; my mistakes!
