Tell us a story...

... and when we're not saving the world or just prevaricating about the bush, we do actually try and keep the bread on the table. For example, using our cost-free (in financial terms) social networks to try and promote Sílvia's story-telling activities.
By the way, this activity isn't as easy as it looks, writing/adapting tales for the English level a typical 7-year-old Catalan child might understand, introducing key words and expressions you want them to practise, preparing the material, rehearsing....

  1. That is brilliant Brian! Thank you for sharing. I love storytelling in teaching and Silvia does it so well. Congratulate her for me.

    1. Thanks! I will do!
The background to the the story (sorry!) is that Sílvia often did this kind of thing in her previous full-time job, teaching English to young Catalan kids. When our kids were born, she had to give up this job as the timetable was terrible and she went freelance giving English classes at suitable times and doing translation work with yours truly... then a couple of years back the local library asked if she'd do one of these story sessions from time to time voluntarily. They went down so well that other libraries/schools asked if she'd be interested in doing them as paid work. And so we added another string to our bow!
We could do with making some kind of professional quality videos I suppose, but for now we make do with what we have!
